Violette Richin, DPharm

Researcher in radioimaging

Violette Richin graduated as Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Lyon (Institut des Sciences Pharmaceutiques et Biologiques, ISPB). She completed her training with a Master's degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at the University of Paris. During this course, she had the opportunity to carry out various research internships on topics ranging from Microbiology (La Salle University, Mexico) to Cardiovascular Pharmacology (Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil). Her interest in Neuroscience and Neuropharmacology led her to specialize in the fields of Radiochemistry and Neuroimaging during her Master courses in the BIORAN team led by Professor Luc Zimmer at the Centre de Recherche en Neurosciences de Lyon (CRNL). This work was the subject of her pharmacy thesis on the synthesis of new PET radiotracers for imaging 5-HT2B serotonin receptors. Her work at Neurolixis consists in investigating the brain imaging profiles of novel 5-HT1A receptor biased agonists, such as NLX-204, NLX-101 and NLX-112.
