Neurolixis is pleased to announce a PhD Studentship Opportunity in collaboration with the University of Hertforshire (UK). The successful candidate will investigate the therapeutic potential of novel compounds (notably NLX-112) developed by Neurolixis. These compounds target serotonergic mechanisms which are involved in the neurobiology of Parkinson's disease and of neuroprotective functions. The project will provide training in a range of in vitro and in vivo techniques relevant to modern neuropharmacology including animal behavioral paradigms, neural circuitry relevant to Parkinson's disease and modern biochemical techniques.

The four-year project will start in early 2019 and includes a stipend of £14,777 per annum plus approved expenses.
